Oh what a beautiful moment! House is SUPER clean (after a LONG 2 days of scrubbing), dinner is prepped, kids are finishing up naps, and I am finally relaxing on the couch, feeling my baby boy move in my growing tummy, listening to a little Norah Jones, and taking in the scent of my new candles. Mmmmm! I know it's only a matter of moments before the monkeys wake up and hubby gets off and we can start the entertainment of FAMILY LIFE! Thank you, Lord for passing moments like this!

Tomorrow morning we go in to find out the sex of the baby. I can't tell you how very exciting this is. We would love to find out that we are adding a little baby girl to the Smith clan, but the thought of adding another trooper son is fascinating too! Lord, bless this child as it grows, and prepare our home to welcome it in love. It's amazing that even though we await anxiously to see what we will name it, and what it will look like, and what it will act like.... it brings me great peace knowing that my Heavenly Father already knows this child well. He has plans for it and an amazing call on it's life!!

We have lived in this area for over 6 years now and I can't believe TODAY was the first time I have ever been to the top of Mt. Diablo! It really is a gorgeous view! My rockin' hubby rode all the way from the summit, back to our house!! So inspiring!

When Grandma and Papa came to visit we went to see Santa!

Christmas Eve we went out to lunch at my favorite Vietnamese Restaurant. The boys loved the Yummy Salad Rolls and Pork!

By the middle of the day... we had to stop at Target... notice the red cart.... well, let's just say Micro won't be remembering even a moment of that trip!

This was a day hike we went on! The boys were so cute playing together by the water!

We have no place to sled right now... but Mijo was so excited that he at least wanted a picture with one!

More of our visit from Papa and Grandma! We got to enjoy a date night with them one night and went out to Cheese Cake Factory! (The parents had never been!) It was a huge hit.

Mommy and Daddy's weekend away in Tahoe! We had to go out for a friends wedding, and ended up staying a little longer to get some time away. It brought back such great memories of our Honeymoon when we drove down there from Washington! We have this same picture of us and the lake from 10 years ago! The lake is still beautiful... the marriage gets better every day!

New Year... New Season!

To start the New Year off, we decided to CLEAN HOUSE! And since we will hopefully be relocating soon, it's just that much less we will have to pack and move. Plus, going through the house, it was a lot easier to part with clothes and shoes and toys, knowing that they were going to families that really needed them! It's amazing when you look at your life in that perspective, you realize that you have WAY more than you actually NEED! God has blessed us to bless others. I pray this little bit is a blessing to others!

What a GREAT Christmas!

We had such a wonderful Christmas together this year. All the phone calls and Skype calls to our family sure did make us miss the fun gatherings, but we made the most of it. It was just us this year, and Hubby was off for 4 days, so we just enjoyed each others company and took it easy!

Friday Night: The boys opened the gifts that Nana sent them in the mail! Thanks Nana!

After the boys went to bed, me and Hubby played Santa's Elves and wrapped presents!

And of course... Hubby's favorite part... filling the Stockings!

Christmas Eve: we opened the last present from Grandmas Christmas Countdown that she made us! The boys love their Safari Book and Blocks!

Mommy got to open her first present that night too. Thanks Hubby for all the thoughtful gifts!

For dinner... since it was just us... who wants to spend a bunch of time making a huge meal? Instead, we made ourselves one of our favorite platters. A variety of olives, fancy cheese, spinach and artichoke dip and bread. Since Mommy and the baby couldn't have any wine, I made myself Italian Sodas as a treat! Mijo LOVED sitting in the living room, eating with mommy and daddy!

Merry Christmas Eve! 9 years and every year gets better than the last!

We also took a trip down to the neighbors house for an hour or so. They invited us over, but we had NO IDEA what we were getting ourselves into! There were about 30 people there and we came just in time for "Family Caroling!" They have a tradition of singing Christmas Carols together and ending with "The 12 Days of Christmas!" Our family had the honor of being a part of it... We were 8 maids a milking!! Great memories! Thanks for the invite, neighbors! On our way out... they were gracious enough to LOAD Mijo up with a plate of goodies! This is a picture of him enjoying his cupcake at home!

CHRISTMAS MORNING!!!!! Hubby couldn't believe that the boys slept in till 9am! When Mijo finally woke up... he was so excited about the presents and note that Santa left him!

I was so proud at how Mijo read all by himself what each present said and who it was too!

Santa brought us LOTS of Nerf Guns!!

After presents... Hubby made us a YUMMY breakfast of Waffles with Strawberries and Whip Cream!! Prego Mommy's favorite breakfast right now!

And not too long after breakfast... Hubby and Mijo were enjoying the new Wii that Santa brought us! They enjoyed it... and enjoyed it... and enjoyed it! For hours... they enjoyed it! But what the heck... It's Christmas!!

Merry Christmas to all our friends and family! We miss you and send you lots of love! Thank you, Lord for the greatest blessing of all... Your love and the loved ones you put around us!!

Shopping Date

This weekend, we were blessed with a night out without the boys! Some AMAZING friends of ours took the boys overnight so we could finish Christmas Shopping and just have some time alone. We had a blast going out to Walnut Creek! Stops at Mac, Nordstrom, Elite Sports, and some yummy dinner at PF Changs! We saw the new Sherlock Holmes movie, got our running gate checked, and had a deja vue experience at the Sports Basement where we felt like we were, all of a sudden, back in Portland! :) Did a little Christmas Shopping and A LOT of window shopping! And what is a trip to Walnut Creek without a stop at Cheesecake Factory for 2 slices to go! It was one of the best ways ot celebrate this Holiday Season with the man I love!

The Joy that comes from Giving!! A MUST READ!

If you have been reading my past posts, you know the boys have a Christmas Count Down that there Grandma made them, where they have a task or question each day and then they get to open a present. Well, I thought this would be a great opportunity to talk to Mijo about the fact that some people are a lot less fortunate and don't have Christmas presents this year. He was so concerned that he wanted to share one of his toys with a kid that doesn't have toys or presents. The next day we decided that whatever him and Micah open that day, we would take it to Daddy's work and put it in the toys for tots bucket. When the boys opened their presents and I saw it was Hot Wheels, I got worried that he would not want to give it away anymore. I was so incredibly blessed to see him smile and say that he is going to give this to a kid that will LOVE Hot Wheels! He prayed over the cars and ask that God bring them to kids that don't have toys and that they would make those kids very happy. I just about lost it as I listened to his heartfelt prayer! There is nothing that gives me more joy than to watch my children, my little babies, be used for God's Glory!! That is truly what Christmas is all about!

A day in the life of a mommy!

I'm really praying that this next baby is a girl! My day currently consists of nerf guns, fighting, and NOW arm wrestling! (Thanks Daddy!) However, today, Mijo decided to show Micro how the game works!!! Mijo even has "special fighting names" for everyone! Lord... I could use a little bit of estrogen in the house! Not a lot... But a little would sure be nice!!

Well the pictures are kinda late but better late than never. We are feeling so festive with our tree and stockings up. Plus Grandma made Mijo and Micro a Christmas Countdown Calendar. Everyday for the 25 days till Christmas, they open an envelope, answer a question about Christmas or do something kind for someone, and then they each get to open a present each day! It has been so much fun! Mijo wakes me up every morning and asks when it is time to open a present! Thank you, Grandma for such a thoughtful gift!! It's the most wonderful time of the year!!

7 Days of Thanksgiving! FINAL DAY!

Day 1: As you will read, I have spent the last 7 postings, sharing with you things that I am thankful for. The neat thing has been to spend time on a regular basis actually thinking about that. I guess I didn't realize how often I skip over the thoughts of thankfulness in a day. It has been a challenge and a blessing. Well, today is the final day and I want to share with you the things I am most thankful for. One of the greatest blessings in my life is my incredible husband. We have been married 9 years now and I couldn't imagine spending life without him. Marriage was not always easy for us, but I can honestly say that over the years full of laughter and tears, he has become my best friend, my inspiration, my lover, my partner in parenthood, the shoulder I cry on, and more and more... the man I want to grow old with. And for him, I will forever be thankful!

And lastly, but the thing I am more grateful for than anything else, is the comfort I have in knowing my savior Jesus. He has been more real to me then anything in my life. No matter how much I screw things up or how broken I am, He is always waiting there to pick me up... if I only ask. He has been my strength in hard times, He has been the truth when everything around me seems to fall apart, He has been the power I need to move forward and the grace I need to not keep looking back! He has protected me, and kept me in His shelter, and it is there, where I want to remain forever. If you haven't experienced a love like this... I'm here to tell you... it's real and it's in God!

Day 2: Today I am thankful for family! We just finished a great visit from Hubby's Parents and it reminded us of how much we and our children miss by living so far away from family. To all our Grandmas, Grandpas, Nanas, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins... we love you and miss you very much! Wish we could be with you this Holiday Season! Day 3: Well, today, I am thankful for Renters Insurance!! Last night our house was broken into and we were robbed while we were gone at the store! What is it about the Holiday's that make people so greedy as to break in and rob people! Anyway... needless to say... we feel frustrated and violated! But thank GOD for Renters Insurance! Last year, in December, the same thing happened to us while we were away visiting family! Unfortunately, no insurance... the very next day, we got it! Well, this past year of paying $20 a month, is definitely paying for itself! I am also , so incredibly grateful that we were not in the house, and that ourselves and our children are safe. It just makes you a little more precocious to say the least!

I've never really thought about how blessed I am that I have all my limbs and my body and mind work the way they were created to. I have no health problems, no one in my family has any mental or physical illnesses, and that is something to definitely be thankful for! Day 6: Today I take a moment to share how thankful I am for God's provisions! There has never been a time that my family has not been taken care by our Heavenly Father! Sometimes it seems like it went until the "11th Hour" but we were never in need! And in those times, it only encouraged me to trust Him even more! He has given us far more then we deserve and I am so grateful. There are so many families that have nothing and barely enough food to keep them alive! Yet so many times I complain that I don't get what I want. Well, what more could I want? I have a happy, healthy family that I get to enjoy every day of my life!! I could not ask for more!

Day 7: I am so thankful for this wonderful baby that has begun to grow inside me! For 4 years we tried to get pregnant as I got so discouraged watching my friends and family get pregnant over and over again! And now, Hubby and I are blessed with not 1, not 2, but coming soon: 3 beautiful children! God's most beautiful gift to us.

Pumpkin Party

We had a Pumpkin Carving Party a couple weeks ago and it turned out awesome. I had lots of fun with the Tablescape! Pickles for "Shrek Toes," Sweet Chili Dip for "Bloody Dip," Black Olives for "Eye Balls" and stick pretzels for the "Bone Pile!" Mijo and his friends loved the Eye Balls!!

I made Pumpkin Cupcakes and each kid got to frost and decorate their own cupcake. Fun Activity and a tasty treat!! My little Superman working so hard on his cupcake!

Micro was the cutest Giraffe EVER!!!

I'm pretty sure the parents were FAR more into the pumpkin carving then the kids! But here's a note for next year... put down some plastic for the mess!!

The finished product was a porch full of Jack-o-Laterns~

I was so proud of my Hubby! He made a "Spider" Pumpkin for us! Mijo was obsessed with it!!

The evening ended by me being crazy enough to have a sleepover with 4 boys (Plus Micro!) It was quite an experience... but Mijo couldn't have been more happy!!

GREAT NEWS!!! Baby #3 is on it's way!! We went on a nice family date to Starbucks for some coffee and chocolate milk... little did Hubby know it would be much more than a coffee date! Mijo showed him a picture he colored earlier that morning with mommy. It was a picture of his family... but if you look closely, you will see a baby in that picture! Then we gave daddy a little ziplock with the text results... kinda gross... I know... but it was for the sentiment!!

Day at the Dentist

The boys went to the dentist today and did GREAT!!!! It was actually only Mijo's appointment, but Micro got a mini-visit. Mijo was so in to everything the dentist was doing and saying. He couldn't wait to get home and use his new floss and toothbrush!! It sure does make for a proud mommy. The best part of it all though, was that on the way home, Mijo told me, "Mommy, I'm so proud of you!!!" When I asked why, he told me, "because you did such a great job at the dentist today. I'm so proud of you, Mommy!!" What a sweet little man I have!!!

Fun at the Park!!

I LOVE FALL!! I am so excited that it has finally started to cool down... it makes for beautiful afternoons! Yesterday we took the boys to the park. And of course... raising 2 boys and my hubby... skateboarding was involved! Mijo is getting so good! Can't wait to get the camcorder fixed so we can take some more video of him!

Cleaning Spree

I shampooed my carpets last night... I was up till like midnight! Anyway... I woke up this morning and they look awesome! The only problem is that I have 2 boys under 4 and a LOT of traffic through the house. I already snapped at our friend for not taking his shoes off! YIKES! Am I becoming a Carpet Freak?? I really don't want to be that person! But there is just something about knowing how hard I worked and sweat to clean them that makes me a little insane. So WARNING: if you stop by... be sure to take your shoes off before coming in! :)

Celebrating 9 Years of Marriage!!!
Hubby and I had a WONDERFUL time in the city last night! We didn't have much money so we had planned to just walk around and maybe get a drink or something! Well, while we were walking... I all of a sudden, realized it seemed very awkward to not have our children with us! It's funny how you start to get in a funk when you don't have alone dates for a while. So I started to think about how I would act if I was on a first date.... Soooooooo..... that's when the CRAZY began! We went to Urban Outfitters... which is totally a hippy store... and enjoyed all the wild things that people actually spend LOTS of money on. I mean... who wouldn't want to spend $40 on this beautiful Owl Cookie Jar??And what is a Home without beautiful BIRD HOOKS??
Then we thought it would be funny to pick out crazy clothes for each other to try on! We ended up having our own little Fashion Shoot in the dressing room. It was AWESOME!! Check out Hubby's RAD yellow shoes!!Happy 9 Years of marriage to the most wonderful Man I know! I love you and I'm so honored to have you in my life!!

Anniversary Celebration!!

This weekend we are celebrating 9 Years of marriage!! WOW~ It has been quite and adventure... It is such a blessing to look back at all that we've been through... seen... done! I couldn't have asked for a better man to spend my life with!
Hubby surprised me with these beautiful flowers that Mijo actually picked out for me!
Date Night included a movie: Real Steel... and Beer and Appetizers at BJ's!!! And of course... A LOT of LOVE!!

What's your Bear and Lion??

We had a great Bible Study last night! I am so amazed at how God can use His children if they simply make themselves available! God had me share a word last night... and let me tell you... that was WAY OUTSIDE OF MY BOX! But my heart longs to be obedient and used by my Heavenly Father, so, I went ahead and did what I had to do. I shared a word centered around this scripture:

1 Samuel 17:33-37

New International Version (NIV)

³³ Saul replied, “You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a young man, and he has been a warrior from his youth.”

³⁴ But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, ³⁵ I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. ³⁶ Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.

³⁷ The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”

Saul said to David, “Go, and the LORD be with you.”

You see, David knew who God was because he had seen His power reveled in the past. And when a man of God, (Saul) said there is no way for you to conquer this giant... he had his response all ready in his mind. He didn't need to go away for a week and fast and pray to see if he would have the courage to defeat this defiling giant... he drew from what he has seen God do in the past... and his perspective was far different from the children of God around him.

In that same way, I believe it is so important for children of God today, to have our "Lion and Bear" ready in our minds. To have it so fresh in our thoughts, that when we look at the giant that we face today... it doesn't look so tough! That we no longer need to hear from another brother or a spiritual leader, that we can defeat this "giant" but that we walk around with the power in our belts. It doesn't need to be conjured up... it simply needs to be spoken out. What is your Lion and Bear? What has God rescued you from? What has He revealed His power in? This word encouraged me to seek God, and be reminded of all that He has done in my life. And to do this regularly... that it is so fresh in my mind, that when that Giant may come and start huffing and puffing... I can quickly speak that with the same power that has helped me defeat the strongholds in my past... I will defeat this giant who mocks me. After all, David did many mighty things in his life... was used by God tremendously, but imagine if he didn't defeat that Giant that day. Imagine if he had just ignored it... or allowed someone else to defeat it, because he thought it "not my time for this kind of ministry yet." You see, that day, opened the door to the ministry that God had destined for David's ENTIRE LIFE. It was that ONE battle that thrust into motion all that God wanted to do through him. This "giant" that you face today, may be the defeat that opens the door to all that God has destined for YOUR life. It may be this one breakthrough, that leads to a lifetime of being used for the breakthrough in others lives. I believe that if sons and daughters of the last days, start walking around in this kind of power.... with the story of their own "LION and BEAR" that were defeated... there will be a MIGHTY move of God flowing around us. I believe strongholds will be broken, chains will fall off, hearts will be mended, sickness will be healed, and salvation will come to this land! AMEN!!

It's been a while!!

Well, It's been a while... but it's never too late to blog-up! Here's what's been going on with the Smiths! Micro has turned 1 and is walking talking and has the personality that is only described by HOT and COLD! He is my little worshipper, singer, dancer!! Mijo is 3 and is smarter than we know what to do with. He is witty and entertaining as all get out!! I am so blessed by their relationship! Hubby and I have always prayed that they would have the relationship between David and Jonathan in the Bible! And they do!
Hubby has been busy working and we are probably relocating in a few months! I once heard that the flip side of fear is excitement... well, that about sums it up on how I feel!!
It's been amazing to me to watch God, literally, close the old chapter as we feel a new chapter beginning! We see ourselves in a season of shifting... as if the ground under us is rattling and moving, and we are just on for the ride! My prayer is that God is, not only preparing us for this new season He is bringing us into, but preparing our new season, for us! That our new home, location, friends, bosses, and church body... would be hand picked by our Father Himself and prepared for us. That it would be a life that we are able to pour out onto those around us, as well as, be poured into! This is the joy of allowing God to "do His thang" is I don't have to worry about it!! I just pray and trust Him with the details!! Ahhhhh!

Daddy took Mijo to the mountain today to go snowboarding for the first time. If you look at this picture closely, you will see that he feel asleep while eating his breakfast. This is what happens when you get a two year old up at 6am and drive for almost 4 hours!!

Great 4th of July!!

We had such a great 4th this year!! We went to the church picnic and spent most of the day at the water park. I sang the National Anthem, even though I have had insane allergies!! It is posted on my facebook if you want to see it!! Of course, though, in all the hipe, I forgot to bring the camera. But take my word on it, it was fun. After the park, me and Hubby took Mijo into the city. We had a free dinner, (gotta love gift cards. ) Once we finaly got home, Mijo was pooped. Since we had to be at church early in the morning, we decided to spend the evening listening to all the booms for inside our comfy home!!

It was so hot on Sunday that we went to our friends after church for a BBQ and a swim. Mijo had to take a minute to get use to the cold water, but then he loved it. We put goggles on his head, because he wouldn't let us put it over his eyes. He was so stinkin' funny. He would try to jump in the water, but end up dunking himself. Patrick and I decided he really needs a sibling.

Divine Appointment

Lately, I have been praying that God would dispatch his Angels and Godly people into my family's lives. The Lord says that the prayers of the saints are in bowls as incense before God's throne, so I know that he hears my prayers, and I figure, what better hands to put my family in than God's. Well, this morning, I went to Jamba Juice before work. (I actually wasn't even planning on going.) When I got there, I paid for my oatmeal, and as I was waiting, a young man came in and ordered his food. He went to pay for it with a $100 bill. He scrambled to see if he had any change, when the worker told him they don't accept $100 bills, so I told him I would get it for him. I just told him to be blessed and he can do the same for someone else. When I got back into the car, and headed to work, I started asking God to show him that it was Jesus who did that for him, and how much Jesus loves him. As I was praying the Lord showed me a breath taking revelation. He told me that just like I am praying for my family, someone is praying for him. And God used me this morning to be the dispatcher. When I heard that in my spirit, I was so blessed. I hope this encourages you that if we are available to the Lord, he will use us in ways that we may never know the true impact. Ask the Lord today, to use you in others lives, and to not let you miss a opportunity to show someone how high, and how wide, and how deep is the love of Jesus!!

For Mijo's one year birthday, we had a few close friends and family come over for a Taco Feed!! It was such a blast. Thank you to everyone who was so helpful to the first time mother who was pretty clueless!! The black and white picture is to hide my mistake!! You will notice that the cake is pink. That's because I ruined the cake that I made for him, and needed a last minute replacement. The only thing available was a girl cake, so they added some blue to it. It made for some great laughs!!

So I realized today that I have so many different names, I don't know what to do with myself. I hope you know what I mean. If not, then I'll try to elaborate. I was cleaning up after dinner, and I was thinking, "Wow, this never stops!!" If I'm not feeding Mijo, I'm feeding hubby. If I'm not making dinner, I'm cleaning up after dinner. And if I even start to get settled on the couch, it's already time to get Mijo ready for bed!! But don't get me wrong... I'm not having a pity party. It actually was ending up being the exact opposite. I started to think of all my different names in life. Wife, Mother, Cook, House Cleaner, Sexy Date, Recycling Sorter, Worship Leader, Woman, Young Lady, Daughter, Sister, Friend, Singer, Goof-ball, but most of all... Child of The Most High God!!! As I thought about all those names I carry, I started to feel so blessed that the Lord would use me in so many ways. I mean, after all, I am constantly praying that the Lord use me. So if you start to feel worn out or unappreciated, I hope this encourages you to look at all the names you hold, and see how many lives the Lord is using you to touch!!

The Hubby started giving guitar lessons at our house and Mijo has been getting very jealous that his Daddy is spending time with someone else. So the hubby started involving him in the group jam!! Mijo started hitting the strings when he saw our student strumming!! It was so cute!! I know this is torture, but I had to do it. We were going through Target and I saw all the cute Easter clothes for girls!! The hubby and I thought it would be funny to dress up Mijo!! It was only for a second. Sorry Grandma!!

So it's barely anything, but this was Mijo's first little step 1 week ago. The next post, I'll put a video of where he is now!! Let's just say... he's a pro!!

I Love My Job

I am so grateful for my new job. I've been working at my church 2 days a week now. It is so encouraging to be surrounded by people who truly love Jesus and search to find the Jesus in others. Plus, since it's only two days a week, it ends up being a perfect amount of time out of the house. And I get to bring my boy with me. He is watched by 3 wonderful women, and loves playing with the kids. He's the youngest and it is so precious to see a 18 month old girl, be such a caretaker to him. All the kids call him, "Bay-ee I-sick!!" I love it. Also, it seems to have hurried him out of the "Mommy ONLY... clinging phase." God has been so good to us!!

Today has been such an amazing day for Mijo. When I went to get him up this morning, he was standing up in his bed for the first time. Then, while I was talking to my sister on the phone, I was telling her how luckily, Mijo hasn't figured out how to climb the stairs yet in the new house. While I was taking, I got concerned because I didn't hear Mijo crawling around anymore. Sure enough, when I got up to check on him, he was already on the 3rd step. YIKES!! It's like he read my mind. Then while we were eating lunch, I was trying to teach him how to raise his hands when I say "Praise Jesus." Well when he finally did it, I started to clap. So he started clapping. I got so excited. He's never clapped before. Once he started, he didn't want to stop. Until, of course, I pulled out the video camera. But... tonight while we were playing, I was able to get some great pics of him playing in his toy box, and then trying to climb out. It was hilarious!!!

I guess it's not a big enough challenge to play the piano at 10 months, he has to try to play it from a toy box.

New Home!!

Last night was such a cozy family night. For once, we had no plans. I made chicken tacos and corn, and the Hubby built us our first fire in our wood stove. We aren't completely settled yet, (still waiting for the carpet to be installed to the master bedroom,) but all-in-all, it's certainly feeling like home.

We moved to the bath tub. This was Mijo's first bath in the tub all by himself with no seat. He did so good. He's such a big boy. But as you can tell, we don't have very many bath toys. I think that will be what Mijo asked Nana to get him for his 1 year birthday.

Hangin' with our friends!!
The other day we were hanging out with our American Idol Friends (AIF.) The two dads fell asleep and Princess T spent over 1/2 an hour covering them up with blackies and giving them teddy bears and then read them a story. All without them even budging. It was so sweet.
For Christmas, Santa brought AIF a scool bus. Mijo had a blast playing in it. Although he'd try to stand up in it, and it would fall over on him.

Mijo went in for his wellness Doctors appointment today, and his doc couldn't believe how big he's gotten. He gained 4 lbs since December. Guess he packed on that holiday weight. He's 29 in. long and 19 lbs. My big boy is getting so chubby. (Not really, but we like to joke.) The Hubby's new nickname for his is "Chunck." He's a pro at the truffle shuffle... "Hey you guys!!" :) But on the other hand... I'm proud to say that this is my 3rd day of weight watchers. I've been doing great. If anyone out there has any good WW recipes, send them my way. I would be greatly appreciative!!

Wow!! It sure does feel great to be in our new home. We are not in anyway "settled in" yet, but that will come soon. I will post some pics of the new casa after the boxes are cleared out. We love it. We can't wait to invite people over. There is a great back yard, so it will be extra nice for the summer. Mijo has been having a blast exploring. He hasn't figured out how to climb the stairs yet... thank God!! But I'm sure it's just a matter of days. I also found out that there is another little guy just his age, right next door. That should be fun! Well, I'd better stop typing and go take care of some more boxes while Mijo is napping!!

Moving Again!!

For those of you who are new to the Smith Adventures, we are a family that likes to move A LOT!! We'll actually, we don't exactly like to move... we just kinda end up doing it. So today... we move again. This has been a long awaited move, and it is finally here. My prayer is that we will be settling in for a while. (Hopefully until we find a house to buy.) You'd laugh if you saw our house right now. Mijo slept in the pac-n-play in the closet last night, there are boxes everywhere, and we are preparing and eating food solely on disposable plates and flatware. (Since everything is boxed up.) So when your enjoying your "Friends" reruns and icecream on your nice warm couch tonight, remember us, and send a prayer up for us. We will be frantically trying to get our life in to a truck and move it across town!! Like I said... It's the Smith Family Adventures!!

Mijo's Adventures

Up until now, Mijo has never gone to explore a room without me. He's such a mama's boy, he constantly looks up to see that I'm still in the room. Well, today he decided to crawl his way into the other living room. I was so amazed at how intrigued he was with the door stop. He played with it for almost 30 mins, without even looking up. It's a bitter sweet experience. The sweet is that he is learning to entertain himself more, the bitter is that he's finding out that adult things, (like VCRs, DVDs, magazines, and electric cords,) are much more fun to play with then his new toys from Santa. Time to buy those baby gates and plastic things you put in the sockets and can never, ever, ever get back out. I guess this is my welcome to mother hood, and good-bye to candles and decorations on tables. :)

Well, Happy Black Friday Everyone!! Did you know that it wasn't named black Friday for anything bad. It was named that because it was the only day in the retail world, where stores made it out of the red and into the black for the year!! Just a little fun fact to know and tell!!

We had an awesome Thanksgiving. But unfortunately my camera stayed in my purse the whole time. Wednesday night we had a big community dinner at our church. It was so awesome. I couldn't believe how many people came out. Also, if there was anyone who didn't have money for Thanksgiving dinner, we sent them home with a box full of everything they'd need to make a special meal. This was Mijo's first Thanksgiving. And boy did he love it. He ate so much stuffing and mashed potatoes, I thought he would burst. Then he went crazy when I let him try the cranberries.

Since we had the whole turkey meal the night before, we went all out for Thanksgiving day. Since our family are all in other states, we went to our Pastor's house. Sharon made us the most amazing thanksgiving dinner EVER. We had lobster, king crab and prime rib. I'll say it again... LOBSTER, KING CRAB and PRIME RIB!! It was awesome. Wish you all were here!!

Our church is having a Harvest Party tonight. They asked the Hubby and I to be the Farmer and his wife. We thought it be cute if Mijo was our little lamb. The costume was so adorable, but it drove Mijo crazy. Here's a couple pics of it before I took it back.

For those of you who know, my boy is not a cuddler. He always wants to sit up and see what's going on. But last weekend he had a really high fever, ( I think from teething,) and all he wanted to do was lay on Mommy or Daddy. It broke my heart. How do Moms do this?
Even though he wasn't feeling well, I have to admit, I did really enjoy snuggling with my boy and falling asleep with him on my chest. I never allowed him to do that, because I didn't want to create a bad habit. It's a goog thing I didn't know how special it was.

He loved snuggling with Daddy to. I love this picture, because he started smiling in his sleep right as I was taking the pic. It's like he was faking!!

I'm happy to say he's feeling much better!!

First bath in the sink!!

After a meal of homemade squash, and it getting all over Mijo, I decided... time for a bath. In our new house, the only tub down stairs is a huge one, and I didn't want to waist all that water. So, Mijo and his first bath in the sink!!

As you can so, he loved it.

He also tried to master his trick of pulling himself up. Not good!! I want him to learn how, just not in the sink!!Towards the end... he was spent from all the fun!!

6 Year Wedding Anniversary

For our Anniversary, the Hubby took my into SF. We can't get enough of the city. We had a great time. We didn't know it was the weekend of the Blue Angels, so it was packed. We wanted to take the bus up to Union Square and go to Cheesecake Factory, but after being on the bus for 25 mins, and going only 3 blocks, we jumped off and went to Bubba Gump instead!!

We had the same guy draw our pictures again. This time the Hubby didn't look so old!!

6 Years with many more to come. I can't wait!!

So, I left my adaptor at work. You know, the one that hooks my camera up to my computer. But I have some awesome pics that I will post, just as soon as I get it back. We finally got a bike trailer. You know the one that you pull kids behind your bike in. We like going on rides, but can't because of Mijo. Well, a frien bought a trailer for his dogs, but the dogs hated it. So he gave it to us. We put Mijo in his car seat and strapped him all in, and then strapped him in the trailer. He loved it. He had his little stuffed cow and was mesmorized by the trees and birds. I can't wait for our first official family ride.
